Terms and conditions on equipment hire

  1. Office hours

We are open on Monday to Friday from 8H00 to 17H00. On Saturdays we open from 9H00 to 13H00 only when it is necessary. Sundays and holidays are only considered on request and there is an extra fee charged.

 

  1. Orders/enquiries

Orders/enquiries can be made by telephone and email or on website through the request a quote or contact us links. A written quotation will always be issued and acceptance thereof must be submitted through a signed quote or formal email.

 

Confirmation of quotations must be done at least 48hours prior to the collection or delivery day.

 

  1. Bookings

It is always advisable to make early bookings to ensure availability of the equipment required. A minimum fee is required to reserve a booking. The amount of the deposit depends on the size of the order. The balance should be paid at least 48 hours prior to delivery/collection of your order.

 

  1. Cancellations

For a cancellation made between seven days before the event, 25% of the total fee will be charged

For a cancellation made within two days before the event or on the day of the event, 50% of the total fee will be charged

 

  1. Delivery/collection by us

Delivery and collection of equipment is charged according to the distance from the loading area. Equipment is always delivered in safe, clean and wrapped containers. On collection, the equipment must be safely packed back to the containers.

 

  1. Handling of equipment containers

Even though there is no charge for equipment containers, should they be found damaged or lost on collection or return of equipment, a replacement fee will be charged.

 

  1. Damages

The security and protection of the hired equipment is the responsibility of the client. For damages and losses while equipment is in the client’s possession, a replacement fee will be charged. Please click her for replacement rates.

 

  1. Equipment inspection

Equipment is inspected prior to delivery and on collection by us. It is compulsory that the client do the same on delivery/collection and on collection/return. We do however always ensure that the hired equipment is always in good condition and complete.

 

  1. Rental collection/returns policy

Collections and returns are done on Mondays to Friday from 9h00 to 15H00 and on Saturdays from 9H00 to 12H00. Sundays and holidays are accommodated on a special arrangement and an extra fee is charged.

 

  1. Rental period

Rentals are based on a 24-hour lease period. Rental period start from 12 noon to the next day 12 noon unless arrange otherwise. A special arrangement is available for long term leases. Equipment taken or delivered on Friday can be collected or returned on Saturday or on Monday.

  1. Handling of equipment

All of our equipment is clean, in good condition, counted and packed neatly prior to each hire. It is required that the hired equipment is returned in clean, at least rinsed and neatly packed condition. Should client prefer to return the equipment (cutlery and crockery) dirty, fifteen % of the total rental fee will be charged.

  1. Refundable holding fee

A refundable holding fee is charged for every order. The amount depends on the size of the order. The minimal charge is R300.00. This fee, serves as the replacement fee should there be damages or losses. If the replacement charge is more than the holding fee, an outstanding balance invoice will be issued within seven days of return of equipment. In the same manner, the holding fee is also paid back to client in full or as the balance after the equipment replacement deductions. Payment is made within seven days of return or collection of equipment.

NB: we prefer the refundable fee to be paid in cash. This way, client is paid back the refundable fee immediately on return or collection of equipment if there are no damages or losses.

  1. Method of payment

Currently, we only accept EFT and cash payments only. Debit card payment is in the process of being introduced.

No equipment will be released before payment or if payment is not yet reflecting in our bank account, unless proof of payment is submitted.
